Awaiting Confirmation means we sent the removal request and the broker emailed you a link to click.
This is normal. Many brokers require the data subject (you) to click a confirmation email. They do this to make sure the request is real.
What To Do
- Check the inbox of the email you signed up to DeData with.
- Look for an email from the broker. It will say something like "Confirm your opt-out request".
- Click the link inside.
- The broker may ask you to solve a CAPTCHA. That is fine. Solve it.
- Come back to DeData. The status will update to Removal Submitted within 24 hours.
If You Don't See The Email
- Check spam/junk folders.
- Add the broker's domain to your safe sender list.
- Wait up to 48 hours. Some brokers batch their emails.
- If it never arrives, hit Rescan on the broker card. We will try again.
We cannot click the link for you. The whole point of confirmation is that the broker wants proof you are the one asking.
