Removals

Why Some Removals Say "Opt-Out Sent" Instead Of "Removed"

Different brokers cooperate in different ways. The badge on each row tells you exactly how confident we are about that removal — no marketing fog.

Removed (Green)

We sent the opt-out, the broker processed it, and our weekly verifier task re-scanned the broker's site and confirmed your record is gone. This is the only state where we will say "Removed". We keep checking weekly in case the broker re-adds you from a fresh data feed.

Opt-Out Sent (Blue)

We submitted your opt-out — usually by email, sometimes via the broker's web form — but we have not yet re-scanned to prove the data is gone. Most brokers process email requests in 7 to 30 days. We re-verify weekly, and the badge will flip to "Removed" the moment we can confirm your record is no longer listed. If the broker ignores us, the badge stays here so you know action was taken even if outcome is unproven.

Manual Instructions Sent (Gray)

This broker only accepts opt-outs the user submits in person — phone verification, notarized letter, or a portal that requires a captcha we cannot solve for you. We emailed you the steps. We cannot automate this one. The badge will stay here until our verifier task confirms the record is gone, at which point it flips to "Removed".

Why We Do This

Calling everything "Removed" would be a lie when 30%+ of brokers never confirm receipt. We would rather show you a blue badge than misrepresent our work.
