Removals

Why Some Removals Fail

Not every broker can be removed. Here is why removals fail.

Phone Verification Required

Some brokers (mostly people-search sites) demand a phone call or SMS code before they will remove you. They do this on purpose to make removal hard. We don't have your phone, so we cannot finish these. You will see them marked Failed — Phone Required. You can finish them yourself in 2 minutes.

Court Records

Arrests, lawsuits, and bankruptcies are public court documents. We cannot remove these. They live on government servers. Sites like arrests.org aggregate them. The original record is the problem, not the aggregator.

In most US states, sealing or expunging a court record is the only way to fix this, and it requires a lawyer. We can remove the aggregator copies but new ones will keep showing up.

State Directories

Voter rolls, professional licenses, and business filings are legally public. Sites that publish them are protected. We can ask but they do not have to comply.

Broker Went Dark

Sometimes a broker takes their opt-out form offline or stops responding. We mark these Failed — Site Unresponsive and rescan monthly.

Re-Listing

Brokers buy data feeds every quarter. If your information shows up in the next feed, you get re-listed. We re-scan and re-remove on a schedule. This is why the service is a subscription, not a one-time purchase.
