You can cancel any time. We do not lock you in. Full cancellation rights are in Terms of Service §7A and /legal/refund-policy.
Steps (60 Seconds)
- Open Settings in your dashboard.
- Click the Billing tab.
- Scroll down and click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm.
That's it. We send a confirmation email to the address on file.
What Happens After You Cancel
- You keep all paid features through the end of the current paid period. No early shutoff.
- We do not start any new automated removals after the period ends.
- Removals already submitted to brokers stay submitted. We do not roll those back — once an opt-out is sent, it is sent.
- Your scan history, removal history, and PII vault stay readable so you can export anything you want.
- Your PII is retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you come back, then permanently purged.
Will I Get A Refund When I Cancel?
Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund. It just stops future billing. If you want a refund instead of a clean cancel, see Can I Get A Refund? — the 14-day guarantee, the 80% service-quality refund, and the California 30-day cooling-off period are the three paths.
Pause Instead Of Cancel?
If you only want a break (between jobs, moving, etc.), email billing@dedatalabs.org. We can pause the subscription for up to 60 days with no charges during the pause.
Trouble With The Cancel Button?
If the button does not work, email billing@dedatalabs.org with your account email. We cancel manually within 24 hours and send a written confirmation.
Annual Plans
If you are on an annual plan, cancellation stops your subscription from renewing next year. The current annual term continues until its end date. You don't get a cash refund for the unused portion past day 14, but you keep using the service through the term.
